Kilburn RSL dance

A slight detour on way back in Adelaide on Sunday afternoon. Country music dance @ the RSL with live band

This couple are a sight to be seen, he looked like a homeless person, bit rough & scruffy & his friend is not much better. But he blew us away when he got up & belted out a couple of songs & had a great voice. As they say "Don't judge a book by its cover"!!!!

Parham free camp

This is our campsite for last night before heading back into Adelaide to housesit for an old friend of mine, from the days when I worked @ Rose Bay RSL in 70's

Glorious sunset, reminded me of the the very social sunsets @ the Mindill beach markets in Darwin

School holidays are over & the "GREY NOMADS" are definitely on the move. 2 Happy hours today, one with our neighbours & one with about 8 other nomads. Most are heading to Eyre peninsula for King George whiting & crabs. I counted the vans & there were 30 + 6 Whizz bangers (overseas vanpackers) & 2 station wagons rocked up around 7.30pm looking for somewhere to camp, leaving it abit late & then want to squeeze in between the vans already set up & open & shut their side doors all night (this is where the whizz bang comes in)

This big yellow school bus was here when we came before New years eve & had apparently been here for 5 weeks then & we return after being on Yorke peninsula for a month & they are still here (only moved to another spot) That makes at least 9 weeks & the sign coming into camp site says MAXIMUM 2 weeks!!!! Definitely ferals!!!!

Moonta Mines Methodist church

Spent last night in Kadina, they have a RV parking spot in town @ trotting track, but unfortunately by the time we got to town the tourist info centre was closed & the gate was locked @ the track, so we spent the night in carpark of info centre!!!!

Drove back to Moonta this morning to see the Methodist church as we were told it was open at 10am, no luck again, not till 1.30pm

The church is still in use & holds 1250 people

Fisherman's Bay near Port Broughton

Port Broughton hotel. Port Broughton is 171km from Adelaide on the uppermost end of YP close to the southern Flinders ranges & Clare valley

Just 5kms around the coast is Fisherman's bay with old fishing shacks that have been here for ever, great place if you love fishing, have a boat or are a young kid visiting Nanna & Pop for the holidays!!!

Murals on loo wall

Fisherman's shacks of all shapes & sizes. Just last week the locals were on Adelaide ACA about the huge increase in their rates. Most have gone up from $1000 to over $4320 an increase of 432%
