Pondalowie bay - Innes Nat Park

Spent 2 nights camped here, nice campground, but still blowing a gale

Pondalowie bay has about 6 lobster boats working out of here. In 1950's the fishermen built these shacks to use during the lobster season. As they were here before the area became a National park the authorities are unable to move them on. Must have some sort of long term lease

 


 


Kids enjoying the big sand dune, just waiting for someone to come along with a sandboard

 


 


 


A walk along the beach & we found this steel lobster boat, high & dry on the sand. Don't know how long it has been there, but only the shell left, everything else has been stripped out
