Just 2 kms off the highway we found this spectacular Pennington bay. A photographer's dream, great surf beach for experienced surfers.
It was blowing a gale, so no walk on the beach. Stopped for lunch & headed back to American river to camp
In rough weather, the southerly winds blow at gale force, causing huge waves that can be heard @ American river - 9kms away
