Continuing further west after leaving the castle, we came to Stokes Bay which would be our campspot for the night
These signs are on all the beaches, to take care of Hooded Plovers nesting
Stokes Bay was divided up into a Soldier Settlement after end World War 11. About 140 families moved into area to take up farming
To get to the lovely beach we need to walk through the rock passage to rock pool & beach. Apparently one of the soldiers spent many months finding a way through the rocks to enable the families to enjoy the crystal clear waters of beach & pool
