Kept travelling east towards the Murray river & crossed the bridge into NSW. Small town set amid irrigated farms growing citrus fruit & grapes.
Opening bridge (1904) across the Murray
We saw a sign for Tooleybuc Sporting club & that it was that time of day, 5 o'clock somewhere & time for a cold ale
When we arrived, there were loads of caravans etc in the car park. Hello hello something must be on, better check it out & see what happening.
We were in luck the Tooleybuc Murray muster was on this weekend, starting on Thursday night. $10 pn to camp in car park, sounds like a good place to spend a couple days.
On Thursday morning saw all the old loves turning up around eleven..... Yep you guessed it ... BINGO....time to try our luck. Bit cheaper than on the cruise $4 for 20 games & we were in luck & won a $15 voucher for bistro.
Had seen some of the artists when we were in Barmera in July. Thursday we were entertained by Peter Horan sure could tickle the ivories!! + dancing. Friday the party began & each artist sang for 1/2 hr from 10am to 10.30pm & loads of dancing.
This continued on Saturday & Sunday. We left on Saturday @ 1pm as we were heading to Mildura Sunraysia resort for a week & today is check in day.
Looked up to the sky & saw this vapour trail from 2 planes passing each other, way up there in atmosphere
Lovely flowering tree
