This cheeky crow waited until the people had finished their Devonshire tea & left,
he flew onto table & started drinking the milk from the milkjug
He's done that before!!!
This is the building where they have the Light & sound show in the evening
It is the first of winter in 1878 & a Melbourne bound clipper, the Loch Ard, has been wrecked off a small island the present-day Loch Ard gorge on the Great Ocean road.
The ship is destroyed & 52 lives are lost. While the sinking of Loch Ard remains one of Australia's worst maritime disasters.
"SHIPWRECKED" is today truly one the nation's greatest shows
Suddenly you are on board the Loch Ard on that grim night, your seating is moving in time with the action as the pounding ocean claims the stricken vessel's passengers & crew.
Two, however, miraculously survive. Tom Pearce is swept into the narrow gorge that now bears the ship's name. Watch as he swims out to rescue Eva Carmichael before scaling a sheer cliff face to raise the alarm
This statue is Australia's most valuable shipwreck relic
It was being transported from England to Melbourne aboard the clipper Loch Ard in 1878 for display at Melbourne's Great International Exhibition of 1880, the life sized Loch Ard Peacock was washed ashore in a packing crate, just days after its namesake ran aground
